I re-read all your previous posts about your accident and am very sorry to hear that. I was/am looking foward to seing your Z now that I'm back in the bay area. But the best thing is your o.k. The Z could be smashed into a Red heap, but as long as your o.k. then its considered a good thing. However, I've been driving heavy equipement for about 6 years now and have a few questions for you. 1-How fast do you estimate the Freightliner was going when it hit the Taurus? -Side note. The trucks front bumper is a reinforced fiberglass. You can break those away perty easily. The majority of the damage done to the Taurus was done by the P/S Steer Tire. 2-Do you know if the CHP Cited the driver at fault for rear-ending the Taurus. My reason for asking this question is at least 3 times during the evening commute I have to slam on my breaks to avoid hitting cars that come into my breaking zone and then slam on their breaks. And I'm running between 70,000 & 80,000 LBS. Not easy to stop. Thanks for any info you can provide. And please make sure to take care of your back if its injured. I've had two back surgies so far and I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on my worst enemy. CowBoy
